The Anniversary!!

So on Friday September 24th 2005 I married the man of my dreams and I will fight anyone to the death well maybe not the death but I'll fight ya verbally till I win about how my hubby is the best! So 6 years have come and on Friday September 23rd 2011 the man came home from work and announced that we were going up north for our anniversary weekend!! (love him!) Said we were leaving NOW and I had to get things packed, the dog to G-ma and G-pa Johnston's and Princess Tay all packed too! After many texting with my awesome sister (Mel) we dropped everything off including our car and off we went!
Now I can't for some odd reason post a picture of the car we drove (brain trauma) and so I will just have to spoil it and tell ya... ya ready.... a red hot vet (the car!) It was OK...not that fun on the butt to ride sitting on the ground but it was fun for the weekend. :) ps the looks and troubles that follow you..................oh I'm getting ahead of myself.....
So off we went on good ol' I15 and old being the key word! (hate road work especially in a car sitting on the ground with 1in of air in between you and the road and MAJOR pot holes!) Those of you who know the man knows that he HATES to stop for potty breaks but I couldn't help it, I had to go! We pulled off in Fillmore and went to the Carl's jr and totally didn't see the major, ginormous, mother of all ditches in the middle of the road (un marked) and yep we smacked it so hard we thought it took off the floor of the car! Utterly humiliated we ran inside and used the potty and grabbed a burger (we wanted to go to Tucano's but ya gotta feed the beast, including me!) After the feeding took place the man was checking the car to make sure it wasn't leaking any fluid  and it was all good. The drive with my man is fun even if I have to listen to his music ;) we got to Mel's house in Lehi and stayed the night, she has thee most adorable 5 lil' girls I don't know who they were more excited to see me or the hubby, they LOVE uncle Adam! (melts his heart and mine too)
The next day our anniversary, we headed up to snowbird (I've never been there) but first we took the top off the car and driving on the freeway in a convertible is no fun for me hair! We had to schedule our day around our feedings and so we had to stop at Crown Burger in Sandy and have our awesome friend Josh and his darling daughter Belle come and feed with us! Once again I cannot post a picture now, will try later! Funny thing while driving in the red hot vet is the looks and pointing's you get while in a sharp, snazzy car like that (I hate attention drawn on me!) It was the gun show and people were walking holding their rifles and guns, it was AWESOME!! After the feeding commenced we were off up the canyon might I add BEAUTIFUL! While driving with the top off my hair had lost the battle and I just surrendered to looking like trash. ;) We get to the ski resort (no snow) and noticed TONS of people and didn't have a clue till we saw the sign "OKTOBERFEST" hahahahaha ok now we do not drink and our new lives we live are pretty fantastic so we don't need alcohol or and drug (except my Dr. P) for us to have fun and enjoy life! I am not a crowd lover and so I talked the man into riding the peruvian chair lift. We so loved it, you felt like you were in nature hehehe;) When it stopped it totally bounced and the man and I freaked cuz it felt like we were gonna fall! All in all it was fun and loved being with my man.....yes we kissed on the ride no not making out but we totally could have cuz were married!! Now the time was getting late and it was almost time for our feeding and so we headed down the canyon back to the sister's house and get ready for dinner. Yada yada yada we got ready....Thought we would try out Rodezio (sp?) grill but only cuz it was closer we typed in the address in the garmin and off we went............we arrived at the location and there was nothing but houses (no businesses) so the man looked the address up on his phone and it was right and then the garmin died and we didn't have the cords for it and so we used the gps on the phone.....off we went again and around the block and made a right turn and ta da ...we were right back to the same spot!! So now the man is angry feeding time has come and we haven't found the stupid restaurant and so I was smart enough to keep the address of Tucanos on my purse and so we called them and made reservations and off we went....... Tucanos is delicious but wait.....we get seated and start our feast and the man had literally 3 bites and his food gets stuck!!! Off he went to the bathroom where I'm sure the men think someone has man bulimia from all the gagging and puking he does when his food is stuck. I on the other hand sat and had a nice meal all by myself.....the waitress came by once and asked if everything was fine (I had the look of worry on my face) I said everything is fine....10 minutes later she comes by again and asks if everything is okay? I told her the man was in the bathroom cuz his food was stuck (I think that worried her, you should have seen the look on her face) but I assured her it was fine and she said to let her know if she could help. 20 minutes had gone by and I decided to text the man to see if he was alive and whew he came and sat down....um his meat was cold! He was fine but I told him to chew his food like no other so I wouldn't have to sit there all along and eat my dinner with all the poor sad looks from all the other people feeding their faces. Dinner was fun and yes worth all the trouble and after the feeding and the man's gut way full we went back to the sister's house... oh man I forgot to tell ya about riding home from the canyon how a guy in a bmw saw the vet on the freeway and wanted to race....well the bmw guy tried and tried to egg on the man but didn't succeed.....that is till we had a spot open up in the traffic and the man punched it and sorry little bmw kid driving your mommies car, eat our dust!! ;) (this is where we both decided we would NEVER want a flashy car EVER!) I will end my story of our fun anniversary weekend by hurrying the story along.....we had ice cream that night with Mel and Heath and went to church with them then off we went back to good old home....but when we got back in my beautiful soft cushions of air tires and super quiet windows of a car we were once again reminded why we will never, EVER have a car with low profile tires again!
The weekend was amazing and the man is awesome (and I should know) and that was our trip!!
THE END :)
